Head Distiller

As the Head Distiller it is my job to operate the stills, provide sensory analysis, and ensure that only the best rum makes the cut to be bottled. I was born and raised in Gastonia and am so proud to be working for this great local company. Before joining the Muddy River team, I spent 6 years in the U.S. Marines and 6 months backpacking on the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine.

I enjoy paddleboarding, reading, and backpacking and am currently pursuing dual degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Physics at UNCC full time. My favorite rum is the Coffee Carolina Rum, and my favorite cocktail is The Riverwalk made with our Spiced Carolina Rum.
