Tiramisu

Our tiramisu is a creamy and delicious dessert. There is nothing better than our Coffee Rum and this dessert proves it! Try the recipe below for a sweet treat.

Ingredients: 

Muddy River Coffee Rum, 1 box nilla wafers (or lady fingers), eggs, sugar, mascarpone, coffee, vanilla extract, cocoa powder

Recipe: 

Tiramisu

  • Brew coffee, set aside 
  • Seperate 2 eggs, you will use both
  • Whisk egg whites, slowly add 1/4 cup sugar
  • Whisk about 3 minutes or until peaks form 
  • Set aside
  • Whisk egg yolks, slowly add 1/4 cup sugar
  • Whisk about 3 minutes or until pale in color and fluffy

To egg yolks add: 

  • 8 oz mascarpone to egg yolks 
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract to egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp Coffee Rum 
  • Mix well 
  • Fold in egg whites to yolks, be sure to not over mix
  • Add 2 tbsp fresh coffee to shallow bowl
  • Add 1/4 cup Coffee Rum to shallow bowl
  • Stir well
  • Dip nilla wafers in coffee mixture
  • Place in a single layer in a pan 
  • After 1 layer, smooth cream mixture on top
  • Repeat layers til pan is full
  • Last layer should be cream 
  • Dust cocoa powder on top 
  • Refrigerate at least 4 hours
